• (8/14/12):  CAUTION!!! Make sure to get the 6^th edition of the class textbook!!! There is 7^th edition that just appeared and I decided NOT to use it this year for two reasons: i) You would be forced to buy the book as new since buying it used would not be an option and ii) the new edition includes substantial revisions and I'd like to have time to evaluate the changes. Since many homework problems will be taken directly from the book it is very important that you have the 6^th edition of it.

• (8/14/12): Check  Homework Set #0 in the homework part of the webpage!  This homework will allow me to establish e-mail contact with all of you  and get a feeling of the class level (so feel free to give me feedback). There are two possible grades for this homework: 100% if you turn it in or 0% if you do not turn it in by the dealine (August 23).
